One of the most frequently asked questions at the yard goes something like this: ” How do you boys get those boats so shiny?” We typically look at one another and laugh. I would like to think the sanding fairy comes in the night and runs our longboards for us, but I’m afraid that is wishful thinking. Here you see LARK, the 47′ soop we built last winter, coming out for winter storage after an intense summer of racing and day sailing. The first of the two new boats we are building this winter to this same design is now ready for fairing. Last week’s epoxy infusion went well, and now it’s time to make her shine.

That is truly a beautiful boat. Is there any video of her under sail or any pictures of the interior?

I was given a Wooden Boat day planner some years back and I cut out the picture of Katrina’s bow and keep it by my desk in the office as inspiration. Thanks for the picture of her and the rest, so sweet.
